It's my birthday month, so I thought I'd share a little about me and my home decorating adventures!
Have you spotted those gorgeous Gucci herons while scrolling through Instagram? If you're like me and obsess over interior design accounts, you've probably seen this stunning wallpaper. I absolutely fell in LOVE with it! Since I couldn't find the perfect wall space where a doorway wouldn't awkwardly cut through the pattern, I had to think creatively.

My solution? I ordered the wallpaper panels (about $600) and took them to my local framer. The result was a reasonably priced, fabulous pair of framed herons that now grace my home. What makes them even more special is my connection to these elegant birds. At our previous home in Virginia, we had two herons that visited our pond—Harry and Harriet. Now they serve as a beautiful reminder of that time as I live here by Geist Lake.
I also framed some scrap pieces of the heron wallpaper featuring just the feathers. With different colors and textures, they create a completely different vibe while complementing the larger pieces.

Nature and animals paired with designer aesthetics absolutely thrill me! When I spotted this Hermes Zebra scarf, I instantly knew it needed to be framed. I found it on The RealReal and immediately sent it to the framers. The quality and rich black saturation on the silk is absolutely stunning—and at just $90, it's an incredible deal for such a striking piece of art.

I'm also passionate about antique hunting. During a trip to Paris, we visited the Antique Flea Market (seriously one of my favorite places on earth!). There, I discovered an amazing 100+ year-old gold lock. If you're familiar with Paris, you know that hanging locks on bridges and fences symbolizes love and romance. Since I was there with my love, this beautiful piece was a must-have. My advice? Don't tuck these treasures away—display them proudly!

Not everything in my home was found or purchased. In this next photo is a stunning black knit blanket with exquisite detailing, crafted specifically for me by my incredible, talented "knitting goddess" of a mummy! She knew I wanted a blanket but also understood my love for black. I absolutely adore and cherish this special piece.
Sometimes, the best décor finds its way to you when you aren't even looking for it!
