Building More Than Homes: GHI Joins the 2026 Women Build

This year, we're proud to share that we took that philosophy beyond our studio walls and gave back to our Indianapolis community by joining our friends at Home Artisans' team for Habitat for Humanity's 2026 Women Build. What Is Women Build?

This year, we're proud to share that we took that philosophy beyond our studio walls and gave back to our Indianapolis community by joining our friends at Home Artisans' team for Habitat for Humanity's 2026 Women Build. A cause filled with purpose, hard work, and meaningful connection.

Giving Back
When we heard about the 2026 Women Build event, we knew immediately we wanted to be part of it. Our connection to the Indianapolis community runs deep. This city has welcomed us, supported our business, and trusted us to design spaces that matter. At GreyHunt Interiors, our values have always centered on people. It's not just about what you create; it's about what you give back. Being a part of it with our friends at Home Artisans made this commitment even more meaningful.

Build Day
I have been fundraising for a few months and am grateful for all the donations I raised and earning my jacket. My job was also to install hardware door knobs, locks and door stoppers. I am officially a pro! It was way more exciting than tiring and an honor to be a part of someone's dream and story for this family.

Build day arrived with perfect weather and incredible energy! Working alongside our industry friends, we measured lumber, hammered nails, and installed siding under the guidance of Habitat staff. There were moments of laughter when we fumbled with unfamiliar tools, and moments of pure joy when we stepped back to see our progress. What struck me most was the shared sense of purpose; every volunteer understood that we weren't just building walls; we were building futures.

The Impact
Habitat for Humanity partners with hardworking families in need of stable housing. A permanent home means children can stay in the same school district and families can put down roots. Knowing our work directly impacted these families' lives added profound meaning to every nail we hammered.

Design Meets Purpose
Participating in Women Build reinforced something I've always believed: everyone deserves access to quality housing. Whether we're designing a luxury renovation or volunteering on a Habitat build site, the principle is the same. Homes matter, and the people who live in them matter even more.
