- Pull items together with like colors such as whites, soft blues, etc. Take a large bowl and fill it with lemons to keep it full of enjoyment. I won’t tell you if they are great faux lemons or real! You can always use faux items at the bottom and real ones on top to trick the eye.
- Make sure your décor has a purpose and you are not cluttering the space. Sometimes too much is too much. Consider reducing to really showcase what is special!
- For a bit of drama, make a collection. This could be all blue and white ginger jars and vases or a collection of all candlesticks but all with white candles for a fresh look.
- Refresh your pillows. This is a great time to refresh and have some new custom pillow covers made or order ready-made covers to give that fresh vibe.
Start thinking about your closets once you refresh those sofas and reorganize that decor by exchanging it for something new and spunky. How often do you open a closet or cabinet and think, “I really need to clean that out,” but then 1 – 2 seconds later, you close the door till the next time you say that to yourself? Well, get out your calendar and make a date with your house. In fact, make a few and list what your goals are. Make sure to block enough time! Here are some simple steps to follow:
- Step one, pull everything out. Completely! Have 3 bins or piles. Keep, donate & trash. And just start tossing in each of those. From there, look and see what you really need. Are you really going to use it? Is it worth the space it’s renting from your house?
- This is where you want to be really honest because if you do a great enough job, you might find you have more room for fun spaces like these!
