It’s the season of holiday parties, family gatherings, and celebrations! But you know what that means… guests! Nothing is worse than having your guest sleep in a room that makes them feel like they are imposing. So to help you out, I’ve curated an extra special list of ways to make your guests feel at home.
Creating A Space That Looks Fresh And Clean Throughout
If the room is an office, clean the best you can and put all personal items away. Make sure the bedding is fresh, and clean, with a well-made bed fit for a king and queen! It will feel like a fancy getaway if done right.
Try adding a throw blanket for additional warmth in the night and to add visual texture, which always helps! Consider adding small touches of detail, like fluffy pillows and extra sheets, to ensure extra comfort.
For the nightstand, have a lovely lamp, water glass, and decanter to refill, a simple book to read, and ideally, fresh greens or flowers by the bedside. This will help ensure that your guests have precisely what they need to feel at home.
If you are entertaining, consider adding some ottomans to make for extra seating and place it at the end of the bed for your guests to sit and put their shoes on. Provide some storage and a luggage rack for easy unpacking and packing – nothing is worse than running out of room to store your necessities!
Do any of these tips have you itching for your next hosting of guests at the “hotel a la you”?
