Hidden Gems of Indianapolis: A Staycation To Remember At Bottleworks Hotel

For our anniversary this year, we decided to be tourists in our own city and discover all the hidden gems Indianapolis has to offer. We put down work, got dolled up and treated ourselves to a night at the Bottleworks Hotel, where the cool factor is off the charts. As soon as I walked in, I transformed into a trigger-happy Instagram addict, snapping pics left and right. The vibe? Electric. The design? A mind-bending fusion of retro and modern that left me weak in the knees.

But Bottleworks Hotel isn't just another pretty face – it's got street cred too. After settling in, we ventured across the street to PINS for a cocktail (or three). Mental note: bring the kids here next time, they'll go nuts. Then we headed to Lucas Oil Stadium to catch the dynamic duo of Chris Stapleton and George Strait. Between us, I was mostly there for Chris. His song "Starting Over" was basically my personal anthem during my move to Indy last year, and don't even get me started on "Joy of My Life." I'm not crying, you're crying.

Waking up in that hotel room was like living in a fantasy, and the bathroom? Next level. Delta Faucet's Trinsic in gold, designed by Judd himself? I felt like I should be wearing a crown. We wrapped up the weekend with brunch at Fountain, which just snagged a spot on the top 50 best design restaurants in the country. Cue me, once again, channeling my inner tourist with a camera glued to my face. With our stomachs full and our hearts even fuller, we made the 40-minute journey back to our humble abode, which really is the sweetest place to be.
