When designing the GreyHunt Interiors Show Room, I wanted to create an experience that was welcoming and relatable to all guests. My goal was to inspire visitors to think, "Hmm...could I do this in my own home?" We all have those little spaces that we could transform to make life feel a bit more luxurious.
The unique shape of the closet immediately caught my eye, and I knew I had to keep the bar and turn it into a cocktail closet. This concept could work in any home - it could be a coffee or tea room, a refreshment area, or whatever you enjoy most! I added a photo of my fabulous Nan, whose tea cup was often filled with brandy. The photo was taken when she lived in England, and I absolutely adored her. She was so much fun and would have loved a room like this!
I wanted to ensure that this room wasn't just a beverage area but also a place to sit, take a call, read a book, play chess, write a letter at the desk, and if you must, work on your laptop. It's truly a reset room, designed for lounging and refreshing yourself as a whole.
The book wall is filled with books from designers that I know or admire, and some are even signed to me. I feel very honored to have them in my room as part of this experience. Now, come sit, relax, and enjoy!
