Hey, Baby!

Hello peeps! Today I wanted to touch base on a project I recently just wrapped up! For this clients home I was asked to recreate almost the entire house, but one of my favorite parts was the nursery for the welcoming of my tiniest client, little baby B.
The intent of this nursery was to create a calm, fun and whimsical space. By using a stencil from cutting edge in the bathroom, to drawing out the design for the tree myself (and with a handy paint job by Lynn Whitley), we were able to execute this look effortlessly. We added layers of texture and soft colors as additional elements, tying it all together.
Pro Nursery Tips:
1. Go for classic looks, not character based. Let your child be the only character!
2. Pay extra attention to the ceiling! Think outside the box and consider putting a stencil up there. With how much babies and kids spend time looking up, might as well add that interest for them!
3. Go for matchy-matchy. Since you know you will need bed linens, towels, burp clothes-stop throwing in whatever cute thing you come by and plan ahead to coordinate it with your look!
